World Poetry – World Stories at Victoria Asian Heritage Celebration Program Date: June 4th, 2017 Time: 2pm-4pm Place: Room C116, David Strong Building, University of Victoria Length of presentation: 7-8 minutes for each participant Format: After all the presentations are completed, there will be a question and answer period. Participants: Ten participants representing Chilean, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Jewish, Korean, Sri Lankan and Thai cultural groups. Refreshments: juice and cookies will be served. Some of the participants will recite poetry of their own creation or someone well-known within their culture. Some will tell/read stories or present thoughts written by someone from their culture. The spoken words that are presented first in non-English will be followed by an English translation. We are pleased to put this program together.
