Asian Hertiage Celebrations on Sunday, May 27 at UVic

Please join us in celebrating the Asian Heritage month on Sunday, May 27, 2018 in front of McPherson library at University of Victoria. This event is organized in collaboration with World Partnership Walk.The walk will start at 10AM and the Asian Cultural Heritage Show will start at 12:15PM. This is free public event that comprises of cultural performances, family tent,  food kiosks and much more.

Come and enjoy a variety program of Afghan, Bollywood, Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese and Thai dances that are presented by various cultural organizations such as Chinese Dance Victoria, Society for Indian Classical Arts, Thai Kids club, Victoria Filipino Canadian Association and Victoria Japanese Language School. You will have a unique opportunity to hear poetry and verses spoken in various languages from all over the world. Please join us in this sharing of cultures by means of poetry-recitation and story-telling. Poems will be translated into English. Discussions will follow. Refreshments will be served.
